Quick answer

Patch 1.20 added 11 camping items and Patch 1.30 added 10 bathroom items, which makes 21 new furniture pieces across the two free updates.

Two free updates added furniture sets, and both of them sit behind a hunting permit rather than a story beat. That is the detail most people miss when a set refuses to appear in the shop.

Camping series — 11 items, Patch 1.20

Prerequisite: obtain the Pheasant Hunting Permit. The letter arrives once you have it, and the set then appears at the General Store.

Neither of these sets is available before its permit, and neither permit is a furniture unlock in disguise — they are hunting permits that happen to gate the shop. The livestock and hunting page covers how to get them.

Buying them again: the catalog

Patch 1.20 added the Furniture Catalog, and it changes how you should buy furniture:

  1. Buy one item of a design from the General Store or Chinana's stall.
  2. Get the catalog (Autumn of Year 1 plus one furniture purchase).
  3. Order as many more of that design as you like; delivery arrives in your mailbox the next day.

Patch 1.30 added decorative trees to the catalog, so outdoor landscaping became orderable too.

Furnishing in the right order

  1. Beds and storage first — they change how a day plays.
  2. Kitchen and processing-adjacent furniture second.
  3. Decorative sets last, once the catalog exists, so you never pay full price twice.

The crafting page covers the workbench and construction side of the same system, and the unlock list shows both permits in context.
